I am currently a fulltime student and living in Adelaide (South Australia) and in the next couple of months, I am going finish high school. I have aspirations to become a Home Economics Teacher and believe cooking is an essential skill for survival in the real world, so everyone should at least know the basics, as there are only so many microwave meals and take away one can deal with
This website, I created early this year (2013)for my Research Project ( a compulsory requirement of my Year 12/Stage 2 course load). It aims to teach people how to cook and use basic recipes and techniques. As you will work out from the homepage, it is designed as a replacement for the average textbook.
Lately I have had a lot of time, school is winding down and I only have one or 1 assignment and 2 exams left. So, I've been thinking, "how can I fill this time", "can I do something with Cook to Live?". Now, I know what my mother's answer would be and that would be "get a job". That is sensible and I can do that at the same time as working on Cook to Live.
I tossed up a whole bunch of ideas. I eventually came up with starting a cooking blog, called "My Cooking Journey". In this, I will go right back to when I first started cooking to explore where my love and passion of cooking began and share it with you all. As I delve in to the real world and explore cooking more deeply and begin to experiment in the kitchen, I will post my own photo, recipes and how to videos.
Stay tuned & Keep Cooking
